Faulty wheel bearings usually squeak or squeal. A whining noise is more likely to come from a Power Steering pump low on fluid, or from a faulty alternator.
A whining sound coming from the front of the engine would make me think one of the bearings is wearing out in the belt assembly. This is something you should fix promptly.
this is normal and nothing to worry about. Almost all vehicles make a whining noise in reverse Ford Mondeo's sound the same reversing as they do going forwards no whining also VW Passatt i think the Golf's are the same also maybe modern technology has improved this. probably bad enough listening to your wife whining you can do without your car doing it.
My CJ7 also makes this noise. I think it is supposed to make that sound at a higher speed (5-20 MPH)
there are many possibilities for noises such as these. you have to think to yourself what changes with temperature because that is what happens when the car WARMS up. so you could have a belt squeal or the wrong weight of oil causing improper lubrication at lower temperatures or low oil or even the bearings in one of the accessory drives such as the alternator, a c, or power steering units could make more noise when cold and less when they warm up. you must investigate and give further details for a proper answer.
it would most likely be the bearings but in some cases sometimes the axle make a humming noise when traveling at high speeds.(front wheel drive)
If you are not hacking, that is called whining. kick them
the difference between voice and noise is the voice is somebody speaking and it is smooth and mellow and noise means loud and mad if you think say noise in your head when you say noise you just no what it means loud big and it could mean danger as well.
I think i can help; where are you from?
Have you checked the pads to make sure they are still ok? my first car made a horrible noise when i used the brakes and it turned out the pads were bald so it was metal on metal. Only other thing i can think off is that the wheel bearings on their last legs?
That wheezing noise could be a sign of a respiratory (breathing) infection, Which can become serious and if not treated fatal.
I think we figured it out. Believe it is the throw out bearings.
I think it does.
