Hi, the answer to your question about mixing acetone, tolulene, methanol or xylene is: about 3 ounces to 10 gallons. you dont want to put to much because it will actually decrease power and economy. around three or four onces to ten gallons of regular unleaded is supposed to give you about a 10% increase in fuel mileage. im not sure how much it will increase your horse power. but i am sure if you put it in the wrong car it will ruin all kinds of plastic and rubber parts. this is only supposed to be done to "oldschool" engines with mechanical fuel pumps. and those usually have alot more metal fuel lines. but you could still damage seals in your carb or damage your mufflers and catalitic converters. it also changes burn temps. inside the cylinders. could damage piston rings or exaust valves. i would only do this if your racing. and ive heard that this is how you have to run alot of forein cars that have 2-cycle gas motors. they also are running oil in there mixes. so the ratio ends up looking like 100: 1 : 0.32

gas oil x-solvent.

hope this answers some of your questions.

How are acetone and toluene commonly used together in industrial applications?

Acetone and toluene are commonly used together in industrial applications as solvents for various purposes, such as in paint thinners, adhesives, and coatings. They are often mixed to create a solution with specific properties, such as fast drying or improved adhesion.

What is the solvent for neoprene rubber?

The most common solvent for neoprene rubber is acetone. Acetone is effective at dissolving neoprene and can be used for cleaning and bonding neoprene surfaces. It's important to use acetone in a well-ventilated area and follow safety precautions when working with it.

Are xylene and trichloroethane miscible?

No, xylene and trichloroethane are not miscible. They have different chemical properties that prevent them from forming a homogeneous mixture when combined.

Which is more dense xylene or trichloroethane?

Between Xylene and Trichloroethane I think the Trichloroethane is the denser of the two. When water and trichloroethane are mixed, regardless of the quantity of water, trichlorothane is consistently denser then water. On the other hand when you mix xylene and water, water is the more dense liquid. It's my conclusion that since trichloroethane is denser than water and water is denser then xylene, then the trichloroethane must be more denser then xylene.

When water and toluene mixed two layers form which remains on the bottom?

Two layers form and the two layers indicate immiscibility (lack of solubility).

What is the additive inverse of a mixed number?

It is the mixed number with its sign changed - from positive to negative or negative to positive

The diffiention and composition of liquid scintillation detector?

A liquid scintillation detector is a device used to detect and measure ionizing radiation by using a liquid scintillator, which emits light when radiation interacts with it. The composition typically includes a solvent, such as toluene or xylene, mixed with scintillating solutes like phenyl xylene or PPO (2,5-diphenyloxazole). When radiation passes through the liquid, it excites the scintillating molecules, causing them to emit photons, which are then detected by photomultiplier tubes. This technology is commonly used in applications like radioisotope counting and environmental monitoring.

When mixed with acetone is it a physical or chemical property?

Mixing is a physical process not a property.

What causes antifreeze to get thick?

Antifreeze is a chemical additive mixed with water. Must be 50/50 mixed with the right type of antifreeze for the right vehicle. If it gets to thick, the PH level is high and not the right content of water is mixed with the chemical additive.

What is mixed to increase the octane number of gasoline?

The most common additive is MTBE.

Acetone in oxygen?

When acetone is mixed with oxygen, it can potentially increase the risk of fire or explosion due to its flammable nature. Proper precautions should be taken when handling acetone in the presence of oxygen, to avoid any accidents. It is important to store acetone in a well-ventilated area away from any potential sources of ignition.

What happens when you mix acetone and oil?

When acetone, which is a strong solvent, is mixed with oil, they generally do not mix well due to the differences in their chemical properties. The acetone may dissolve some of the oil, causing it to break down or separate into layers. It's important to note that mixing acetone and oil can be hazardous, as acetone is highly flammable and volatile.
