To change the front rotors on a 1997 Legacy GT, start by safely lifting the vehicle and removing the front wheels. Next, remove the caliper by unscrewing the caliper bolts, then hang it using a bungee cord to avoid straining the brake line. Take off the old rotor, ensuring to remove any retaining screws if present, and then install the new rotor. Finally, reattach the caliper, replace the wheel, and lower the vehicle before testing the brakes.
Yes.
remove rotors on 97 CamryHi, I want to get my front rotors resurfaces as there is a vibration when braking. I have changed brake pads on my car before soi am sure i i know how to remove the calipers and need some assistance and further what bolts and nuts do i need to removed to pull the rotor out. Thanks
No there not press on. They are Flowting Rotors. You will need a 3 jaw gear puller to be able to remove them easy.
I recently replaced both rotors on my 97. You have to separate the rotor from the hub. They are actually 2 separate pieces.
The minimum thickness on the front rotors for a 1994 Mustang Cobra?æis .97 inches. The minimum thickness on the rear rotors is .50 inches.?æ
