1..raise front of car safely 2..remove oil filter 3..empty oil pan 4..remove flywhell cover 2 bolts 5..remove low oil sensor side of pan 6..remove all bolts around pan 7 remove pan 8..to remove gasket .. remove oil intakestrainer and piping
Oil level sensor is on side of oil pan.
It is not an oil level sensor it is an oil pressure sensor. It just unscrews.
fuel level sensor

It is located in the bottom of coolant bottle.
More than likely you need a fuel level sensor. You can buy it at the dealership or maybe your local parts store. The sensor is in the gas tank, so you will have to drop the gas tank and change it out.
If oil level is ok - could be a bad sensor
To change the fuel level sensor in a 2000 Chevy Impala, first close the gas and power lines. Remove the wiring and then drop the car tank. Remove the old fuel level sensor and replace it with the new one.
