To remove the ignition lock on a Toyota MR2, first ensure the steering wheel is unlocked and the key is in the "ACC" position. Then, remove the steering column cover by unscrewing any screws or clips holding it in place. Locate and disconnect the ignition lock cylinder retaining pin or screw, and gently pull the cylinder out of the ignition switch housing. Finally, reassemble the steering column cover and ensure everything is securely fastened.
Use a flathead and wedge it out
The Toyota MR2 factory recommendations say to change the belt at 90,000 miles. If the belt runs past its use and the belt can snap leading to complete engine failure.
Take the trans out, the clutch is inside the trans ^_^
To access the battery on a Toyota MR2, you typically need to open the rear trunk, as the battery is located in the trunk compartment. Remove any covers or panels that may obstruct access to the battery. Ensure the ignition is off and disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal when working on the battery. Always consult your owner's manual for specific instructions related to your MR2 model.
