Remove the intake manifold and take it to a welding shop that works with aluminum. Let them determine if it can be saved or not.
If the intake is aluminum your antifreeze ate a hole in it.The same thing happened to me on my wifes van ,I was able to fix the hole with JBweld and 3 years later still no problems ... Good luck. Essentially, poor design. Gm's 3.1 and 3.8 motors are notorius for them failing. Even the Lincoln 4.6 falls into the same category.
The only fix for a bad intake gasket is to remove the intake manifold and replace the gasket.
Need to know if it is the intake manifold or an exhaust manifold and what is wrong with it.
I had a hole small hole in one of the manifold covers on my truck, noticed it after I saw lots of steam coming out of it, so I used heat tape( got from Checker Auto Parts) to cover it, and to date it's still holding. (mind you this is only a temporary fix)
By replacing the whole gasket.
To remove the intake manifold on a 2004 Mitsubishi endeavor, you should take it to a mechanic. An authorized dealer will also fix it for you.
The spi Split Port Induction intake manifold will have to be replaced.
The connector into the intake manifold of a GM 305 and 350 has been known to be quite fragile. If the connector has broken you have little choice but to replace the manifold.
on top of the engine block under the intake manifold. it can be accessed without removing the manifold. easy fix!
if taken care of 250-300k, fix the manifold intake. good cars
depending on what engine maker it is , likely an intake manifold or vacuum leak, ck that first
