IF IT'S COMEING FROM THE ENGINE, SOUNDS LIKE IT'S TIME FOR A ENGINE REBILD. A LOT OF THINGS CAN MAKE THAT NOISE,CHECK FOR LOSE BOLTS ON ANYTHING THAT MOVES, EVEN THE TORQUE CONVERTOR.
There are many problems that can cause loud noises, and what sounds like knocking to one person may be described as something else by another.
Loud, regular noises can be caused by a leaky exhaust manifold gasket, broken sparkplug, warped head and/or leaking headgasket, faulty EGR valve, burned valve and fuel injectors and a whole list of other problems. If you are having trouble figuring out the problem you need to have an experienced mechanic tell you what's wrong and if you doubt his explanation, take it to someone else for a second opinion.
That could be the low oil pressure warning. That could be the low oil pressure warning.
I get knocking & ping noise coming from the fuel injectors
It was the kids fathers friend that had warned them before that if there was any danger he would warn them. That was his sign of warning them that the Germans were coming. They didnt know it at the time though so they got captured anyway...
The loud noise coming from the pipes in the building is likely caused by water hammer, which occurs when the flow of water is suddenly stopped or redirected, creating a pressure wave that results in a banging or knocking sound.
Coolant level warning light. It is either your coolant warning light, wiper fluid warning light or low tire pressure warning light.
if it sounds like the knocking is coming from the bottom of the engine i would bet it was the rods or rod bearings may be worn. if the knocking is on the top ,then i would have the lifters and or the rocker arms checked.
TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHTWe have had a lot of questions recently due to the change in cooler temperatures with the tire pressure warning light coming on in our customers' vehicles.http://www.imakenews.com/performancelexus/e_article001255300.cfm?x=b11,0,w
My 2000 Grand Prix would have a low-speed knocking noise coming from the drivers side as the CV axle was failing. The loss of lubrication in the CV Boots allows the joint to make a knocking/tapping sound at a low speed. If the knocking is coming from the engine compartment, then it could be an entirely different problem.
A other small child
1. Engine may need oil 2. Oil pressure to high or low 3. Electrical
It all depends on the nature of the 'knocking':Cheap gas - light rattle during acceleration indicating 'pre-ignition' is happening.light knocking all around the engine -low / expired engine oilLow oil pressure - plugged filter to failing oil pumpHard knocking - could be a piston coming lose and banging on the side of the cylinder walls - not good(!)Way too many variables to diagnose over the internet.Have the car inspected by a good, reputable mechanic
The loud pipe knocking sound in your plumbing could be caused by water hammer, which occurs when water flow is suddenly stopped or redirected, causing pipes to vibrate and create noise. This can be due to high water pressure, loose pipes, or improper installation of valves.
