check for blown head gasket do a compression test
Hard starting, loss of power, poor fuel economy, and the check engine light should be on.
check it
Well it all depends if the sound of the engine is abnormal or muffled then it prolly gone bad and if it dont start then well you know its bad
You know when french onion dip has gone bad because it has water on the top.
It sounds like your VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) has gone bad, which will turn on your check engine light.
when it does not work
Depending on the year of the vehicle, the check engine light would illuminate.
One symptom is a fuel miliage loss. Typically a "Check engine light" will trigger. It can be watched with a scanner to see how it's waveform looks. If it doesn't continually change and is more of a flatline curve, then it is weak or bad.
most the time it means you didnt tighten your gas cap properly. if its not that its probably a sensor that has gone bad.
how do i know if the o2 sensor is bad. The check engine light would illuminate and the code(s) set would steer you to the faulty O2 sensor.
there are many ways to tell if the fuel pump is bad. First i would try spraying some starting fluid(just a little bit) in the air intake while cranking the engine. If the engine starts and dies out then you know you are not getting fuel. if the engine does nothing then you know it is a spark issue.
In most cases you will get a Check Engine Light. Be aware, a Check Engine light does not always mean a bad O2 Sensor. Your local auto-parts stores sometimes offer free OBD-II scan tool check.
