To remove a stripped oil filler cap, you can try using a pair of adjustable pliers or channel locks to grip the cap more tightly. If that doesn’t work, apply some penetrating oil around the edges, let it sit for a few minutes, and then attempt to turn it again. Alternatively, you might use a rubber band for added grip or a screw extractor designed for rounded screws. If all else fails, consider drilling a small hole in the cap and using a bolt extractor.
Find the cap at the top of the valve cover. Remove the cap and add the oil.
