if it is the ignition lock cylinder, first disconnect the battery, you need to remove the steering wheel ,turn signal switch , etc, then you need to insert the ignition key into the lock cylinder, turn it to the run position,then pull the cylinder out, reverse the operation to install the cylinder,
take the steering wheel off, remove the safety plate and there's a small screw that is about the one 'o clock position on the column. take that out. also, get a manual...ah-ha!
If you have the "PassLock" Security system on your vehicle, you MUST take it to the dealer to have the ignition changed out. The will have to reprogram the security system to match. If they don't your security may stay engaged which will cut of the fuel.
disconnect neg bat terminal , remove belt , remove cables from alt. , remove bolts holding alt.

you have to remove door panel and there are three nuts you have to take off of the mirror.
I have been researching for a fix to get my dash lights working again and have come across your problem and the fix seems to be that you have to change the ignition switch which is a wire harness under the steering colum attached bellow the key cylinder. If you look up jimmy ignition switch you will find the info you need.
remove serpentine belt center bolt in idler remove, and install new pulleyand rplace belt the way it came off
