To remove the front bumper cover on an Oldsmobile Alero, first, ensure the vehicle is parked safely and the ignition is off. Carefully detach the clips or fasteners along the top and sides of the bumper cover, then gently pull the cover away from the vehicle. there are 6 10mm bolts that hold the bumper. you will have to remove your mudcover. then there are 6 bolts on the inside of the bumper (3 on each side by the wheel) and 2 pins that hold it (by the hood release) these you pry of with a flat screwdriver. after removing these you should be able to remove the bumper
Remove the screws in the wheel wells and underneath the plastic cover to remove the bumper cover. Then you can see to remove the actual bumper.
it is under front bumper below right headlight.you have to remove plastic cover and there is a union in line coming out of condenser.it is in that union

Not Necessary but helps a lot: Jack the front of the car up on both sides and remove the front wheels. Remove the bolts that hold the plastic fender well up. If you look at the seam where the front bumper cover meets the right front corner panel (one's metal and one's plastic) there are more bolts to remove. Pop the hood, and remove the push locks that hold the plastic bumper to the metal frame in front of the engine on top of the radiator. The front bumper cover should fall off (if you don't want it scratched lay a towel down in front to lay the bumper on. From there, remove the two bolts that hold the front Chevy symbol to the bumper cover. and pop it off.
Park the Impala on a level surface and engage the parking brake. Remove the keys from the vehicle's ignition.Crawl underneath the front of the vehicle and use a slotted screwdriver to pry off the splash shield in each wheel well directly in front of both front tires. Once the shields are removed, you can access the screws securing the bumper cover to the fender.Remove the two screws on each side of the bumper cover with a Phillips screwdriver.Remove the bumper cover from the front of the vehicle by pulling it up and off the Impala. You may need another person to help you remove the bumper cover. Install a new bumper cover by placing it onto the front of the Impala.Crawl underneath the Impala again and reinstall the two screws on each side of the bumper cover. Reattach the splash shields to the wheel wells.

First remove the bumper cover. You need to take off the front grill to get at the plastic retainers that hold the top of the buimber on. There are about four retainers on the bootom of the bumper.
