In the trunk there is carpet up the side where the back on the light would be. Pull it back and you may have a couple of fasteners there holding the carpet or not. After that there are 4 or 5 fasteners that hold the light to the body, they are around where the light and wire go into it. Undo them and it will come out.
lower tail gate and it should be two 8mm bolts then pull light out
Raise the back hatch there is two screws that hold the tail light on (2002 ford explorer) remove the tail light and twist out bulb housing , pull release clips and remove bulb. Install bulb in reverse.
open the tailgate. remove two screws on the inside of tailgate opening that secure tail light lense. pull tail light straight back. it will take a little force to remove as there are two push pin type retrainers on the outside edge of the tail light that connect it to the body.
Remove the tail light housing and replace the bulbs.
should be two screws or bolts from just inside the tail gate area
You can access the Nissan taillights from the cargo compartment. Remove the tail light assembly cover. Remove the tail light wiring harness. Remove the tail light assembly retaining bolts.
Open the trunk, above the tail light there is a black cover. Remove the cover. The tail light slides off away from the car.
open the end gate remove the hold down screws and carefullt remove the taillight assembly
remove two screws, remove tail light, remove bulb. reinstallation is the reverse of removal.
You will need to remove the tail light covers in the cargo compartment. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the tail light assembly retaining bolts.
to replace tail light lens on a ford pickup. lower tailgate on side of bed that is hidden when tailgate is closed, you will see 2 screws. remove these screws and you can pull tail light out of bed.
Remove tail light housing. Remove lamp. Replace lamp. Replace tail light housing.
