Open the lift gate. Pull off the plastic interior trim, 4 snaps, just give it a gentle tug and it will come off pretty easy. Next, you will see to back of the red brake light and you will see 4 tabs along the bottom. There are also 4 tabs along the top that you can't see but there are the same and in the same locations as the bottom tabs.

Trick is to use 2 people to remove the brake light retainer, one using a screw driver. Have one person push in two tabs and the other to push in the other two, simultaneously. The 3rd tab from the left requires a screw driver as you can't fit your finger in the hole. As you both push in the tabs, gently push the brake light retainer outward, the bottom will disengage and then you can carefully pull down on it from the outside and disengage the 4 top tabs. Then just untwist bulbs and I'd replace all four. Reinserting is pretty easy, just gently push back in place.

Why does my high mount brake light come on but not my other brake lights?

If you have directional lights, tail lights, and hi - mount brake light that works but no lower brake lights, replace the multi-function switch on the steering column. Order from MONSTER Auto Parts online for about $90.00. Buy from dealer 300-400.00. Parts house 200-300. No need to replace the 4 way flasher even though they do not work. They will when you replace the MultiFunction switch. Good luck!

To replace the rear motor mount on a 2002 Mazda MPV, first, ensure the vehicle is securely lifted and supported. Remove any components obstructing access to the mount, such as the air intake or engine cover. Then, unbolt the old motor mount from the engine and the chassis, using a jack to slightly lift the engine if necessary. Install the new mount by aligning it properly and tightening the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reassemble any removed components and lower the vehicle.
