how can i reset the service b message on the mercedes clk 430?
How do I reset the Service A/B on a CLK 350
How do you reset service indicator message for A 1999 Mercedes Benz ML320 after service A or B is completed?
You need a scanner. Very expensive. go to auto dealer and have them reset.
You would have to have service B performed by a authorized Mercedes Benz technician. There is a special laptop they hook up to the cars after these services are performed in order to get rid of that message on your dash. On the CLK 320 Cabrolet you have to perform a series of actions on your dash i.e. reset button etc. to reset the service reminder. There is no plug in for a Mercedes techniciam to reset the reminder.
I'm pretty sure you need a code reader which has a reset. Other wise, in some cases, I think you can disconnect the battery which resets the computer in some cars.
Need to do service confirmed: 1- Door closed key position 1 (make sure you have the temp. screen up before starting) immediatly after turning to posistion one, press the reset button 3 times. and the battery voltage should come up. 2- page down to serivce data menu. Use plus and minus to select service data and hit page down to select. 3- Use plus and minus to scroll down to "confirm overall service" , then hit page down. It should say service confirmed. 4- Take the key out ant put back at position 2, the service message should be gone I had the same issues with trying to reset the service codes for my M/B ML350. After looking everywhere and getting no help from the Mercedes dealerships, it turns out, the directions for resetting my service codes were right in my owners manual! I tried it and it worked the first time........I just can't figure out why Mercedes wouldn't tell their owners such a simple solution to a very irritating problem!
It's easy, just go to MB store!!
Turn the key on and do not start the car. Hit the left and right buttons until the mileage is displayed and then hit the up and down buttons until the service light displays. Hold the reset button on the trip meter and hit it again to confirm the reset.
key in position 2, scroll to service due A or B then hold down reset button on the cluster for a few seconds, then it will promt you to push button and hold again. It should reset now and tell you will you next change is due. Make sure you door is shut.

You need a star diagnostic computer to reset this. The dealer has one and some MB indepedent mechnics have them as well.
