To align the timing marks on a 1990 Chrysler New Yorker with a 3.3-liter engine, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder one. The timing marks on the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys should align with their respective indicators on the engine block. If they are not aligned, rotate the crankshaft an additional full turn until the marks line up correctly. After the timing marks are aligned, verify that the ignition timing is set according to specifications.
timing marks are , marks on camshaft sprocket, an on crankshaft sprocket'.
On a Chrysler 318 engine, the timing marks are typically located on the harmonic balancer and the timing cover. The harmonic balancer has a notch or a mark that indicates the timing degree, while the timing cover has a corresponding mark to align with it. To set or check the timing, you would align these marks at the desired timing specification, usually at the top dead center (TDC) for cylinder number one. Always consult the specific service manual for the year and model for precise timing information.

To set the timing on a 1995 Chrysler LeBaron, first ensure the engine is at top dead center (TDC) on the number one cylinder. Next, locate the timing marks on the crankshaft pulley and the timing cover. Align the marks according to the specified timing setting, which is typically around 10 degrees BTDC for this model. Finally, tighten the distributor hold-down bolt and recheck the timing to ensure it remains in the correct position.
