after i took the 8 Allen head screws out then a spring i am stuck. I have the tool to unlock the nut but do i need to take anything else like a clip that keeps this from unscrewing
There should be a C ring that locks the nut
Hey April==You need to state wheather it is a 2 ot 4 wheel drive. If it is 2 wheel drive, simply remove the caliper first, then remove the spindle nut and pull the rotor off of the car with the hub. If it is a 4 wheel drive, I suggest you get a manual on your truck from Auto Zone for about $18 and it will give you pictures and everything. Goodluck, Joe
I have the same problem can't seem to pull in the retaining ring far enough to remove hub and rotor don't know if I'm doing it right. Will update if I get it off.
How do you remove a front rotor on a 1993 F 150 4X4
Front or rear, remove wheel, remove caliper, remove caliper bracket, remove rotor.
how to change rotor front disc on 2006 sprinter
front or rear rotor? jack up wheel that needs rotor removed. remove wheel remove brake pads and caliper for back axle, remove axle nut. u will need special socket to remove this nut slide rotor off axle, making sure u dont drop bearings on the ground to remove front rotor on4x4, it is pretty much the same as rear , except you will have to remove locking hub from axle before you can remove axle nut.
Toyota rotor removalonce you remove hub assembly and bearings, inside the rotor the hub should be bolted to the rotor, six bolts. then separate hub/rotor.
Remove the wheel, remove the caliper, and the rotor will just come off.
If you mean the rotor from inside the distributor. Just unclip the 2 clips and lift up the distributor cap then use a nut driver to remove the 2 bolts on the rotor.
first take off frontwheel then take off brake caliper then rotor will pull right off .
Front bearing will drop out when remove from spindle, rear one will need to remove the grease seal then the bearing will come out. To get the races out drive them out by using a long punch and reacing throu the rotor and drive them out from the back side of the race.
Remove the front wheel then remove the 2 caliper bracket bolts behind the rotor and the rotor should slide off.
