I have a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport Track the turn signals work but have no brake lights have replaced the brake light switch and still nothing what is the problem?
Had this same probelm with my 2001 Sport Trac. Turns out that mine had a tilt steering wheel that when used causes a strain against the turn signal controller. Entire unit had to be replaced at about $200 installed at the Ford dealer. Soon as I mentioned to the service tech what was going on he asked if I had tilt steering. Evidently this happens a lot. Did you replace the flashers? if not, that's the problem. They are located on the right of the fuse box, two round metal things. About the size of a large botle cap. Runs about 6 bucks for both.

If the problem started after you replaced a fuse, you need to check that the fuse is good and installed properly.
