No , ATF is automatic Transmission Fluid
NO. Although some vehicles do use ATF as their ps fluid.
No but you can use atf, trany fluid
Mopar ATF+3 or ATF+4 trans fliud Dot 3 brake fluid
Ok, I am assuming you accidentally poured ATF in the master cylinder. Remove this immediately. Have the entire brake system flushed and replenished with the proper brake fluid. Brakes will not function properly with ATF. This is a dangerous situation, not to be ignored. ATF has different base chemical compositions, boiling point, and properties, and should not be mixed or substituted for in a brake system. Mixing or substituting these types of fluids will destroy rubber and plastic components within the system. It can also alter the performance characteristics of the brake system.
ATF? a/c? brake? engine oil? windshield washer?
No, but some vehicles use atf as a power steering fluid.
water, gas, oil, antifreeze, ATF, brake fluid, gear oil, windshield washer fluid,
Automatic transmission fluid.
Fluid for what? Transmission, brake, power steering, oil, radiator? I am going to assume you are talking about A/T fluid. Use ATF+4.
YES! Brake fluid is pretty nasty stuff. It'll eat up paint, if spilled, etc. I'd leave it to the brake reservoir only. HOWEVER, you CAN substitute Automatic Transmission Fluid for power steering fluid. Top off if in an emergency if you need to, but if you're gonna use ATF permanently, I'd flush out the power steering system first and refill with ATF so they dont mix...
Yes, there is no such thing as clutch fluid. It's all brake fluid.
No, brake cleaner and starting fluid are not the same. Brake cleaner is used to clean brake parts, while starting fluid is used to help start engines in cold weather.
