I wouldn't see why it couldn't be done, so long as you have enough air space and a thick walled box to house (heavy screws not nails).. plus enough raw power to push them sustainably. If going in a vehicle i would highly recommend dynomatting the tar out of your trunk. maybe around doors as well.

How do you convert 8 ohms to 4 ohms?

wire two 8 ohm speakers in a parallel circuit!

Can you wire four eight ohm speakers to four ohms?

I presume you mean wired to four ohms amplifier output: In this case, pair the two speakers in in series which will make the give you 18 Ohms and then join the two pairs in parallel which will result in approximately eight ohms. Then connect then in that format to the amplifier. It will work for you.

What is the best set up for two 8 ohm 1600w speakers and a 500w amplifier with outputs at 4 ohms 5.2ohms or 42 ohms?

Use 5.2 ohms, which is the closest to 8 ohms.

Can you wire 2 16 ohm speakers to 16 ohms?

No. Two 16 ohm speakers connected together are either 32 ohms, if wired in series, or 8 ohms, if wired in parallel. You can, however, connect four 16 ohm speakers in series-parallel to get 16 ohms, with four times the power handling capacity of just one.

How many speakers can go into a single stereo system?

All amplifiers are rated to handle a certain speaker impedance. The majority of loudspeakers have an impedance of 8 ohms while most amplifiers will be able to drive a minimum load of 4 ohms. It is important to check the ratings of the amplifier before adding more speakers. If two 8 ohm speakers are wired in parallel, the total impedance will be 4 ohms. If 3 speakers are wired in parallel then the total impedance will reduce to around 2.5 ohms. If the total speaker impedance is lower than the rated impedance of the amplifier, it is quite possible to damage the amplifier as the output level is increased. To be safe, make sure you understand the impedances of the speakers and the amplifier's rating before hooking anything up.

If two four ohm single voice coil subs are wired in parallel how many ohms will be on the amp?

Two four ohm speakers in parallel is two ohms. Make sure the amp is rated for that load impedance, or you could damage it.

What ohms am i running if i have two 4 ohm speakers hooked up to my amp vs two 2 ohm speakers?

Don't know how you have subs wired but should be 4 ohm load is what your amp will see.

Is it possible to wire two 16 ohm speakers to a car stereo and if so bridged or in series or parallel or something completely different?

Typical car stereos run speakers at 4 to 8 ohms, so I would wire the two 16 ohm speakers in parallel to get a net 8 ohms. Anything over that would be a little much for a car stereo. You don't need to drive it that hard.

What is better 16 ohms speakers or 8 ohms speakers?

It depends on the application. If you have an amp that is stable in 8 ohms per channel, then 8 ohm speakers will work best. However, if you wanted multiple speakers on that channel you could use two 16 ohm speakers.

Can you twist more speakers in line with the existing speakers By this you mean the plus and - clamps for speaker wire on the system you would be adding two wires to each Both are 4b speakers or some?

Yes, but you should be careful not to exceed the amplifier's mininum impedence rating for each channel. If your amplifier is rated down to 4 ohms, you cannot connect more than two 8-ohm speakers on to each lead. Doing so will damage the amplifier. Connecting two 4-ohm speakers will drop the impedence down to 2 ohms, which is lower than most home amplifiers will tolerate.

How do you ruduce ohms on speakers on a 12 volt car stereo 25 watts system the speakers are 2 ohms and stereo is 4 ohms?

That should work fine...matching is not critical. However if you want to be "pure", you could: 1...Insert a 2 ohm resistor in series, but that reduces damping and you may get coil resonances. 2...Install a 2 ohm to 4 ohm transformer. Hard to find and expensive. 3...Install two speakers in series, remembering to phase them correctly.

What is the resistance of four 8 ohm speakers wired in a series?

Two 8 ohm speakers in parallel is 4 ohms, and the power will be split between them. However, unless the amplifier is rated for 4 ohm operation, you will not get the same total power out of the amplifer as you would with an 8 ohm load.
