Hi the answer is yes the radio is coded, you should find the code in your VW handbook . Regards Norman
Every radio has it's own code. You need to go to a VW dealer and they will get the code for you by removing the radio. It shouldn't cost anything to do this unless there is a problem and they need a mechanic to help.
A Volkswagen Passat radio code can be found at any authorized VW dealership or service manual. If the code is incorrect the radio will not turn on.
yes
Unfortunately the code can not be retrieved from a working radio. If you can not find the code you have to get the serial number of the radio and call the dealer for the code.
Many persons have tried leaving the car on for at least an hour, then turn on the radio and it will reset itself. If that doesnt work, it is best you find a VW dealership and give them you VW serial number and they will find a code for you radio that will be able to make it work.
Your local dealer has to pull the radio and hook it to a computer to find the code. It cannot be done with the radio in the vehicle.
every code is different your code will be in the manual and its a four digit code
As far as I know you must have the Vin number and the radio serial number. Both of these numbers have to be submitted by an authorized VW dealer through VW Hub to get a theft code.
Take the radio out of the dashboard, the code is on the side of the radio.
