The location of the crankshaft position sensor depends on which engine your car has.
If it is the 2.5L 4 cylinder it is below the intake manifold behind the ignition module.
If it is the 2.8L V6 it is below the exhaust manifold on the firewall side of the engine block, in about the center of the engine.
The Chevrolet Corsica 3.1 liter engine crank sensor can be found on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crank sensor.
That year did not USE a Crank sensor.
The 1999 Chevrolet Alamo crank shaft position sensor is located on the back of the engine. You will need to remove the rear engine cover in order to access the crank position sensor.
You should be able to find a wiring diagram in either a factory service manual or a Chilton or Haynes manual. The wire goes from the ignition module to the crankshaft sensor.
No Crank Sensor until 1992
That year model does not have a crank sensor.
They did not use a crank sensor in 1984, There was no need for 1
it does not have a crank position sensor. it uses the ignition control module as a crank sensor. it is in the distributor cap
LOL, some dont have crank sensors my friend! if you dont have a crank sensor by your oil pan then you have a bad distributor sensor!
The cam sensor is the distributor, The crank sensor is in the front bottom left side of the timing cover. Behind the balancer.
I found a sketch of the crank shaft position sensor location in my factory service manual, but have no way to post it here. I can tell you that it is on the side of the engine block next to the firewall and below the exhaust manifold. It is close to the center of the block. The sensor is held in by one bolt. It is a bear to get to but it can be replaced with the engine in the car.
