The three common types of starters used in a three phase circuit are DOL (Direct-On-Line) starter, star-delta starter, and soft starter. DOL starters provide full voltage to the motor upon start, which can cause high inrush current. Star-delta starters initially start the motor in a star configuration to reduce current, then switch to delta for full speed. Soft starters gradually ramp up the voltage to the motor to reduce inrush current and mechanical stress on the motor.
A low voltage release is provided by a 2-wire control circuit. In the event of a power failure, the magnetic motor starter will drop out.

With motor off unplug the battery. Then remove the wires from the starter. Undo the 2 bolts holding the starter in place and remove. Reverse procedure for installation.
Startor is a safety device which is protect the motor from short circuit and over load. Two point startor use for Dc series motor. Ans- majit khan (Asmacs itc) my favorite teacher "kanhu charan pradhan"

1. direct ground circuit 2. virtually ground circuit
(2) 10mm screws on the front of the motor. Tke them out and pull out starter, disconnect wire.
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Disconnect the starter electrical connectors. 3. Remove the 2 starter mounting bolts. 4. Remove the starter motor. 5. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure. Tighten the starter motor bolts to 33 ft. lbs. (44 Nm).

solenoids mounted on the starter have 2 functions 1a magnetic coil pulls a plunger which pushes the small (Bendix) gear into the engines flywheel gear at the same time it completes the power circuit that feeds the starter motor and that turns the Bendix gear when the key is released a spring returns the Bendix a it disengages from the fly wheel
