Several factors can prevent a transmission from shifting properly, including low Transmission Fluid levels, which can lead to inadequate hydraulic pressure. A malfunctioning shift solenoid or a faulty transmission control module can also disrupt shifting. Additionally, worn or damaged internal components, such as clutches or bands, can hinder the transmission’s ability to engage and shift gears smoothly. Regular maintenance and addressing warning signs promptly can help prevent these issues.
the tranny is probably going out, but try a fluid and screen change. keep in mind if the tranny is going out, i have seen a fluid and screen change stop them from shifting altogether
Are you having trouble shifting out of park? Would it be a bad solenoid/tranny?
the shaft inside the tranny is broke.
Shifting gears without syncros in your standard transmission would be anything but easy.
Yes, it is possible on an electronically controlled transmission.
Try changing your PCV valve it messes with the idle control. and shifting prob is likely in tranny and may not be related at all. try PCV valve and have your tranny serviced.
change your tranny filter and have it serviced. whatch out though if you never serviced it and your oil is not red, could result in tranny slipping.
