If the vehicle is not getting gas despite the pump and relay being functional, the issue could be a clogged fuel filter, which restricts fuel flow to the engine. Additionally, there might be a problem with the fuel injectors, such as clogging or electrical issues preventing them from delivering fuel. Lastly, a malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator could be causing incorrect fuel pressure, hindering the engine's ability to start.
I am not sure as to your question since you do not reference a certain problem. If you have a relay that seems to work intermittently, I have found that if you very slightly twist the tabs that it will fit tighter. This will insure that you are getting good contact.
It could be that your carburetor needs to be rebuilt.
If you're sure the fuse is okay, the next thing to check is the bulbs. If the bulbs are okay, the problem could be the turn signal relay, also called the flasher relay.
MAKE SHERE THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IS TURNING OFF. WHEN YOU TURN KEY ON PUMP SHOULD RUN THEN STOP. IF KEEPS RUNING, CHECK RELAY, UNDER FUSSES, UNDER HOOD.
A leak in a vacuum hose, is one possibility... a clogged fuel filter is another.
Your car seems to be getting too much fuel, is it computer controlled?
Try switching out the relay for the fuel pump. the pump seems ok but its not getting voltage while plugged in. If its not the relay it might be the fuel pump fuse. It could be something else in the circuit
The phrase "It seems that" could be eliminated for a stronger effect. Simply stating "We have a problem" conveys certainty and urgency, making the statement more direct and impactful.
I had this problem and took my 1990 cavalier to a shop. Nothing came up on diagnostic so they decided my ignition module and coil packs needed to be replaced. This fixed my problem but costed me around 450.00!
The word "seems" could be eliminated for a stronger effect. Removing it makes the statement more direct and assertive: "You have a problem." This change conveys certainty and urgency, enhancing the impact of the message.
No problem here.
I have a 94 mirage, same problem. After changing several parts... seems the problem is the fuel pump relay. This relay is also called the ignition relay. Available only at NAPA. $76. Its metal, 8 pin, 2" x 2" maybe behind the radio. The check is: hear if the fuel pump will turn on for the second before starting.
