my 98 vw jetta atuo shifts hard in first but fine in 2,3
Parallel parking in a manual vehicle can be hard of so,e people. It can take long to park then doing it in a automatic vehicle.
When braking hard, the vehicle's weight shifts forward due to inertia, as the momentum of the vehicle pushes the center of gravity towards the front. This transfer of weight can lead to increased grip on the front tires, enhancing braking performance, but it may also cause the rear tires to lose traction. Drivers may experience a sense of the vehicle nosediving, which can affect stability and control if not managed properly. Proper braking techniques and vehicle dynamics are essential to maintain safety during hard stops.
shifts normal with normal driving conditions when driving hard transmission stalls.have to ease off gas to go to next gear
Not hard if you are mechanically inclined. Having a donor vehicle that is the same as your truck but automatic is key. This would give you all the parts, nuts, bolts, brackets, linkage, etc to do the swap.
It would be labor intensive and you will need a Donner vehicle for all the parts involved.
nope...think about replacing the tranny. Check salvage yards.
check for a stretched/frayed cable
Very. Unless you're exceptionally skilled and have a donor vehicle available it makes more sense selling the one with an automatic and simply buy a car with the features that you want instead.
2006 ion shifts hard
There are a number of conditions that can cause an automatic transmission to slip into protective mode. To prevent damage, if a transmission sensor detects low pressure, slipping or any of a number of conditions, it causes full pressure to go to the shift circuits, making the transmissions shift hard. The only way to determine what's causing the hard shifts is to have a computer diagnostic scan.
Bring to shop or auto parts store and have vehicle scanned to detemine problem -- sounds like it is not running on all cylinders
