what exhaustmanfold fits a 454 engine 1975 to 1980
pretty much any 454 exhaust manifold will fit
it should, i just put a 350 in a truck that had a 454 in it previously. mated 2 a 400 turbo tran
Yes. The exhaust would be different.
Well I have the reverse, 454 manifolds on a 350, so I would think so.
The exhaust pipe size can differ between a 454 and a 350 engine, as the 454 is typically a larger, high-performance engine that may require a larger diameter exhaust system to handle increased exhaust flow. Generally, the 350 engine uses a 2.25-inch diameter exhaust pipe, while the 454 may use a 2.5-inch or larger pipe, depending on the specific application and modifications. It's important to check the specifications for the particular models involved to confirm the exact sizes.
Yes, but the big block may need a hi-torque starter.
A 350 is a small block and all the engine parts are small. The 454 is a big block and everything is big. Nothing will interchange.
40 lbs
It depends on what body style the the engine is in, whether it has single exhaust or duals. On my 91 K3500 with a 454 is on the passenger side exhaust pipe next to the transmission. They are usually a little higher up. Hope this helps.
on the driver side head just above exhaust manifold
If the 454 is complete with accessories such as exhaust manifolds, a/c, power steering, alternator, etc., it should be a pretty straightforward swap. Transfer the motor mounts and distributor from the 350. A new exhaust system will likely be needed.
motor mounts are different, exhaust won't line up,
