The torque specification for the oil cooler housing on a Caterpillar 3126 engine is typically around 25-30 ft-lbs (34-41 Nm). However, it's essential to consult the specific service manual for your engine model to confirm the correct torque, as variations may exist based on the application and production year. Always use a calibrated torque wrench and follow proper tightening sequences to ensure a proper seal.
Cat 3126 torque 780 ft lbs. that is for all cat 3126 c7 engines reguardless of hp rating
90 ft lbs
The connecting rod torque specs, for a 3126 Caterpillar diesel engine, are 70 pounds per square inch. The bolts should be torqued in 30 pound intervals.
I need a specific year... preferably with engine serial number... in order to answer this. Cat never seemed content with the 3126, and always had to change something on it.
In order to change the torque you will need to tighten the bolt on the exhaust side of the injector to fifty inch pounds. Tighten the drivers' side bolt to nine foot pounds.
yes i did it
Depends on which engine it has in it. For that MY, you might have a Cummins 6BT, 3116 Cat, 3126 Cat...
Depends on what engine it has. IIRC, that model could be had with the DT466, DT530, Cummins 6BT, Cat 3116, or Cat 3126 engine.
It actually depends on the application... it won't necessarily be in the same location on a truck as it will a paver.
remove the old one, remove the drive pulley. install the drive pulley on the new alternator, lock the shaft with an allen or drill bit thru the housing hole, torq the drive pulley nut, install it like the old one was installed.
i need rocker arm torque for 3176 cat
Any CAT dealer can look it up,I work for a Cat dealer, the torque is 75 ft lbs
