I'm just an ASE certified brake tech but i know a little bit about engines and transmissions and honestly it sounds like your transmission is gone, cause this recently happened to my Toyota mr2, but since I'm a guy of optimism check to make sure your parking brake is not on and that your brakes are not seized on your rotor
The engine also jumps when changing to Neutral and Drive. Should I have transmission fluid change? A/C was not on.
It might be a problem with your transmission because not all mx6's stall when you put it in drive or reverse.
Could be a frozen clutch pack. Time for a transmission rebuild.
Shift linkage out of adjustment?
if you look on the transmission, you should see two wires connected to the neutral switch.
Mazda 626 does have reverse if its a 5 speed standard H shift then it is 6th gear.
neutral safety switch/ or reverse switch faulty thanks. how would i go about replacing the safety switch? is it difficult?
its a known problem with late 95 to 2001 Mazda 4 cyl 626 which is a ford transmission called CD4E that is the worst transmission in this planet and that's why you don't see a lot of Mazda 626 late 95 and above
park/neutral switch mazda 6 04 is just above bottom gearbox mount !
Mazda doesnt make the tires
Yes, the Mazda 2 is Front Wheel Drive
does a 2002 mazda protege have a front wheel drive
