what type of idle problem is it, in my old Jeep grand cheroke i had a problem where you had to slightly press the throttle in order to stop the engine from stalling at idle. this problem was later found to be due to to much deposit on the electrodes of the battery. Another problem i had on my vw polo was when the ignition coil went on one of the cylinders. i do know that idle problems are mainly due to ignition faults unless you've burnt a bearing.
