A battery booster is an emergency device for automobiles that can be used to jump start a car when the battery has died or has insufficient power to start the engine. A battery booster hooks into a car engine with cables that are similar to standard jumper cables. The unit contains its own battery that provides a charge when needed. In most instances, the batter booster is rechargeable so it can be used over and over again as needed.
First of all battery cables don't have a replacement interval per se. The defects that usually precipitate the replacement of a cable are failure of the insulation on the cable or corrosion and wear of the end the fits to the battery post. If you don't replace the cable when needed the most common affect will be the starter motor will receive to little electrical current to start the car, the charging system will be unable to sufficiently charge the battery, or the head lights will be dim
