The Master cylinder is under the drivers side floor mat. You need to remove the metal plate to get at it.
check your fuse box. That fuse might have short circuit
Check the bulbs to see if they are shot. If that does not resolve the problem check the fuse. If that does not resolve the problem take it to a mechanical and have it checked for wiring problems.

The brake lights and the tail lights are separate circuits. Check the brake light fuse, then check the brake light bulbs, then check the brake light switch.
