behind the throttle body...it looks like a motor facing downward toward the exhaust manifold. it connects the tube from the exhaust to the lower intake.
About 20hp.
it is on the rear valve cover.very hard to get to..The pcv valve is not visible on a 3800 series II engine, which I presume you have in your Grand Prix, because it is located under the MAP sensor. You will find that at the front of the engine, where the serpentine belt is located. Unplug the connector to the MAP sensor and then you will have to unclip the sensor itself. You will then see pcv valve underneath.3For a 3800 normally asperated check out the following website for pics and instructions. http://www.scacgp.com/mods/gt_pcv.htm."G"

To change the PCV valve on a 2006 Buick LaCrosse with a 3800 Series III engine, first, locate the PCV valve, which is typically found on the valve cover. Remove the hose connected to the valve and unscrew or pull out the old PCV valve. Install the new PCV valve by inserting it into the valve cover and reconnecting the hose. Finally, ensure everything is secure and check for any leaks before starting the engine.
It is located underneath the plastic engine cover on the right side of the engine as you look at it from the front.
you put series 11 do you mean 1 no series 2 not a truck
Sorry I am not sure how to describe this, but this is a diagram of a Bonneville and its in the exact same location,
The idle air control (IAC) valve on a 3800 Series II engine is typically located on the throttle body, which is mounted on the intake manifold. It can be identified by its electrical connector and usually has a cylindrical shape. The IAC valve regulates the amount of air bypassing the throttle plate to maintain a stable idle speed. For precise location, it's best to consult a service manual specific to your vehicle's make and model.
On the 2000 Firebird 3800 V6, the PCV valve is under the MAP sensor. It is on the top of the engine on the upper plenum.
for GM's 3800 series II engine there were only 2 plants. Canada and Ohio. look at your RPO code located on your driver's side doorsill to find out.
The knock sensor is located on the 95 oldsmobile 98 with a 3800 engine under the midpoint of the heads.
The PCV valve on the Supercharged GM 3800 series II engine is located under the plastic cover over the supercharger it is towards the back- a square black plate covers the PCV valve- there is a spring pushing against the bottom of that plate. there are two bolts that hold the plate on but be careful when you put the plate back on and screw the two bolts back in they are very cheap and break if u torq them too much. torq to about 78 lbs.
