on my 1994 Hyundai excel 4 d00r sedan the fuel float is located inside the tank,,,however it can be reach from the trunk,removing a safety plate to the right inside the trunk ,then 3 screws holds the complete assembly,,,about the fuel pump itself it is definetley inside the gas tank,and you must drop the tank ,to get to the top of the tank plate,,,,you will see the fuel pump wiring going inside the tank.....
According to my manuel there is no relay as such but in the engine compartment relay box. They're to 10 amp fuses one is hor the horn page 6-45 of the Chilton Hyundai repair manual #32102
