The turn signal flasher relay switch, on a Ford E2 50, can be found below the dashboard on the drivers side. The relay switch is round and simply unplugs.

What I know as the multifunction switch is the switch for your turn signals / wipers etcetera so the switch is inside your steering column cover with the turn signal lever ( and you don't say what year , so possibly your hazard flasher on / off button ) sticking outside the steering wheel column cover

My 88 250 has a tiny 4 way switch on the steering column. Took me a week to find it, perhaps they might be the same, look on the right of the column, its really small.
The relay is located under the fuse box, attached on the lower right end. The fuse box sits under the left side of the dash panel next to the emergency brake foot pad.
