The water temperature sensor and sending unit are next to eachother. On the passenger side of the vehicle, close to the firewall you will see the Power Steering fluid reservoir. The larger hoses run down next to the engine. The coolant temperature sensor and sending unit are mounted on the side of the engine, under the ERG valve. There is a 2 bolt heat sheild on one side of them.
