My first Ford Explorer , a 1993 XLT model , came with Firestone ATX all terrain radial tires ( P235 / 75 / R15 )
I have the same question. Only I have a 2004 Explorer Sports Trac XLT.
On a 2001 Ford Explorer XLT : If it has the Control-Trac 4x4 system it will have a rotary dial for the different settings ( AUTO / 4x4 HIGH / LOW ) in the center stack of the dash just to the left of the radio ( the Control -Trac system is only used with the 4.0 liter V6 )
On a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac : The ELECTRIC fuel pump is INSIDE the fuel tank ( the fuel pump is installed through an access hole on the top of the fuel tank )
you can only put 30x9.50x15
In the center stack of the dash , to the left of the radio ( rotary selector knob for the control trac 4x4 system )
I found the one on my Explorer Sport Trac hiding I the area just above the parking break release.
The main difference between the 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT and XLS models lies in their features and equipment levels. The XLT trim typically offers more standard features and options compared to the base XLS trim. This can include upgrades such as a more advanced audio system, power-adjustable seats, and additional convenience features. Additionally, there may be differences in exterior styling and interior finishes between the two trims.
The 4.0 liter single over head cam ( SOHC ) V6 with the Control Trac 4x4 system
The control trac four wheel drive system has auto , high , and low settings on the 1999 Ford Explorer
You can view the 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac owners manual on-line at : www . motorcraft service . com ( no spaces ) Click on Owner Guides ( the fuses and relays section starts on page 188 , it has the diagrams and lists )
Open the drivers door and on the end of the door or the latch pillar you will see an information sticker that shows the original size tires on the vehicle from the factory
