OK well my discovery of why a new serpentine belt squeaks is if some one does not tighten a screw or place the belt on all of the pulleys correctly then it squeals. also a highly recommended thing i found that worked on my 1994 jeep wrangler was a spray called belt conditioner it helps tremendously, and make sure that the belt is on all the pulleys correctly.
Loosen the tensioner pulley. Slide the tensioner pulley to the right. The serpentine belt will come loose. Remove the serpentine belt. Reverse the process to install the new serpentine belt.

You don't repair a serpentine belt. You replace the worn or broken belt with a new one.
No, the battery has nothing whatsoever to do with the belt other than the belt is driving the alternator which recharges the battery. The alternator is working hard to recharge a weak battery. If the belt is squealing then the belt is either worn out or it is loose. If it is loose it is because the tensioner is defective and not holding the proper tension.
