does it do only when driving? if so, could be many many things.
if it does it while you are at a stop and at a high rpm, its probably a bad bearing in one of your pulleys.
There are a number of reasons why your car may be making a whirring sound when accelerating. You may have a lose part for example.
I am hearig a similar whirring noise in my 04 Maxima that increases in pitch as the car accelerates. I suspect it is the idler puley. I'm planning to replace it in a couple of weeks and will report ba.
Starter relay is broken
Have you checked your transmission fluid? Try that Cindy
Well there are a lot of things that make whirring noise it all depends on what your doing if it happens on brakeing u prob need rotors if it stops when brakeing u need pads if its when driving could be tires also a rim could be bent that also happens a lot of things make noise u have to be more specific u have to determine the conditions in which it happens to narrow it down
Just a noisy pump? low fluid level ? what stays ON?
A/C compressor? A/C compressor?
You can use a car noise database to compare noises at mycarmakesnoise.com
If applicable, you may have a faulty (locked up) fan clutch.
My car was making this noise when I started it up. the noise went away after driving for a while. turnd out I just needed more oil.
your car is making that noise because your muffler needs oil and fume
i have the same issue, jus hadmy car serviced and was told left tyres had punctures, im thinking it might be that. gonna get my tyres changed and fingers crossed it should stop making that noise. if not then off to the garage AGAIN
