In and of itself, there is no current in a spark plug. Once a current is supplied, from an ignition coil (via a points distributer), or from a solid state ignition system (directed by a crank shaft sensor) a special ignition grade wire carries the current to the electrode of the spark plug. The primary current for the procedure to take place is supplied by the alternator when the engine is running, or by the battery when the engine is being started.
It uses DC current.
There is current leak. Find the leak and seal it.
If you mean that the wire came out of the boot, then pull the boot off of the spark plug and use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plug.
Spark plug wire not connected to spark plug? Spark plug wire connected to Wrong spark plug? Vacuum line disconnected? Bad spark plug or wire?
To change the spark plugs in a Chevy Celebrity: 1. Give the spark plug boot a twist to free it up from the spark plug, then pull on the boot to remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. 2. Use a 5/8" spark plug socket with an extension and ratchet or breaker bar to loosen then remove the spark plug. 3. Set the gap on the new plug to .045" then screw it back into the spark plug hole in the head. Tighten the spark plug and replace the spark plug wire. I change the spark plugs one at a time to keep from getting the spark plug wires on the wrong spark plug.
A spark plug actually sparks, and is generally only used in a gasoline engine. A glow plug just gets warm (glows), and is used in some diesel engines. The difference between spark plugs and glow plugs is that a spark plug delivers current from an ignition system to the combustion chamber while a glow plug is a heating device that aids starting diesel engines.A spark plug actually sparks, and is generally only used in a gasoline engine. Give the spark plug boot a twist to free it from the spark plug then pull it off of the spark plug by the boot.
if you didn't space your spark plug right will they spark
Connect a known good spark plug to a spark plug wire and ground the threads to the engine while cranking. If there's spark to the electrode you know the coil is good and it's sending current through the wire.
It may be that the spark plug is dirty. Try cleaning it
