If your car has the check engine on it could be your fuel pressure regulator located on your fuel rail..
Depending on the motor you can press on the fuel rail pressure release valve. If gas sprays out, it's not the fuel pump.
Check the fuel pressure on the fuel rail. There is a Schrader valve located on the fuel rail on top of the intake manifold. If you have adequate fuel pressure, check for ignition problems. If no or low fuel pressure, you may have a faulty fuel pressure regulator(also located on top of the intake manifold).
see if your spark plug are wet, change oil, with new filter.
There should be a bleeder screw on the fuel rail or release the pressure through loosening the fuel input into the throttle body or fuel rail. Caution! When loosened turn on the key and some fuel may spurt out. Retighten fitting and you should be good to go.
Have you tried spraying gas intothe breather. Does it have tbi or multi-port? How about the fuel regulator. How much pressure does the fuel rail have ?
there is a port on fuel rail around the intake // push in on needle valve with a pocket screwdriver and wrap /hold a shop rag around it to see it any air bleeds out//it has to have a certain amount of fuel pressure there needs to be checked with a guage some have as much as 40 to 45 psi. if not correct fuel pressure may have damaged fuel pump..also check fuel filter if it has not been changed recently!!!!!
It may be that the mechanical fuel distributor is broken. Try taping on it.
You have to change all injectors,HP fuel pump, all lines/hoses and HP rail. remove fuel tank(s) and steam out, replace filters .. dealer poured DEF into my diesel tank and truck wont run ... wont build fuel pressure. Happy $20,000 bill ..... :(
Do you have power at the fuel pump relay test connection. do you have fuel at the schrader valve on the fuel rail.

is the van getting spark? does the fuel rail have fuel pressure Might want to check your knock sensor if equipped
