Unclip the bottom grill and remove. Push hand up to the lock and feel for the cable coming into the lock from drivers side. Move fingers along the cable until you reach the lock, then next you will feel the inner cable and where it is attached to its lever. Move that lever toward the drivers side and the lock will be released.

One way to do this is by locating the release lever or latch underneath the dashboard on the driver's side, near the footwell. You can use a tool such as a long screwdriver to carefully manipulate the latch and release the bonnet. It is important to exercise caution and precision to avoid damaging any components while attempting to open the bonnet without the cable.
It will cost you a few hunderd quid to get this sorted by renault... or get some handy person to get the bonnet open, and using a cable tie connected to the passenger side bonnet release, connect said cable tie, and let the end poke out from the bonnet. The latch is broken, not the cable. You can still get to the cable where it is attached to the latch in the foot-well of the car. Grab the cable with a small vice-grip (or similar) and pull. Note that it is very unlikely the cable will break -the latch typically breaks before the cable since the latch is made from plastic and the cable from steel wire.
