Yes. You can. But there would be no point in an exhaust system after this modification. It would actually be in your disfavor to do this. Sure, it's louder. But you would then risk burning the gaskets and also Reduce your horsepower. Only do this temporary. But you should think about buying new headers (manifold) if they are damaged.
One has a turbocharger, and the other doesn't. The turbocharger is mounted on the exhaust manifold and uses the exhaust gases to drive a turbine which is connected to another turbine that forces fresh air into the intake manifold. This added air increases horsepower and torque.
Some (front wheel drive) cars have a flexible piece of pipe that connects the exhaust manifold to rest of the exhaust system. The length of pipe is designed to allow the engine to rock back and forth on its mounts. Without the flex joint, the movement of the engine would damage the rest of the exhaust system.
It should be the same.. the standard jeep(left hand drive) the intake and exhaust are on the left side of the engine as well, so there is no need for a different manifold. so 99 % sure its the same manifold
On the front and rear of what?? The Air Intake Manifold is on the TOP of the engine. the Exhaust Manifold are on the sides of an engine. On a front wheel drive vehicle, the engine is turned 90 degrees, so the exhaust manifold appears to be on the front and back of the engine, below the valve covers.
It is usually a leaver connected to a valve on the exhaust manifold that restricts the flow of the gasses coming from the engine cylinder's witch have pistons that move up and down , that are connected to the crankshaft by con rods , through the gear box , on to the drive shaft , down to the diff , half shafts to the wheels that then helps slow the truck down
Exhaust manifold.
screwed into your exhaust manifold.
This v6 engine has the traditional front-wheel drive 'transverse' mounting. This means the exhaust manifolds are on the front (towards the radiator) and back (facing the firewall) sides of the engine. The exhaust manifold is made of heavy cast iron and directly beneath where the sparkplugs mount.
You have to replace the gasket because when you take the manifold off it brakes the seel and air will be sucked into the manifold and your vehicle will hardly run, and you wont be able to drive it You have to replace the gasket because when you take the manifold off it brakes the seel and air will be sucked into the manifold and your vehicle will hardly run, and you wont be able to drive it
12 to 15 ft-lbs
You can drive a car with any faulty part, but in doing so it will cause more damage to another part somewhere else. With a faulty Exhaust manifold you will be damaging your Valves, and possible your pistons, connecting rods etc...
You have an exhaust leak. Either a busted manifold, bad gasket, hole in your exhaust system. You fix it by repairing the leak. Ignore this and you may end up killing yourself. Get this fixed ASAP, if not sooner. In the mean time drive with your windows down.
