If just one cylinder miss fires, that is not the coil.
Only if you have a coil on plug engine.
The coil pack fire can damage anything close to the coil. Any wires could be damaged, and if the engine has a plastic intake, the intake could have melted.
what could cause my 96 Honda to lose all fire to the coil and fuel pump
dodge 360 getting fire to coil none from dist
The 305 Chevy could not fire for several reasons. The crank sensor could be bad, the coil could have failed or there could be a loss of power to the ignition circuit.
Bad coil or bad coil housing. Also could be leaking fuel injectors. I would check the fire to the plugs. With no fire there is no spark and fuel is just piling up in there.
possibly the wire from the coil to the cap, or a cracked distrib. cap, or a worn rotor, have you checked your ignition module?
could be one of the coil packs went bad
IT COULD BE TIMING BELT OR CHAIN MAYBE FUEL PUMP COIL PACK CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS SPARK IF NO SPARK COULD BE COIL WITH SPARK FUEL PUMP OR TIMING BELT
No ignition-fire en coil
This is definitely the problem: The coil is bad OR The module is bad. DO THIS: change one of the good coils with the bad, If 1 and 4 fire and the other two don't, Its the coil,,,,,,,,,, If they still don't fire, Its the module
Perhaps bad ignition coil.
To determine whether a coil is single fire or dual fire, you can check the number of terminals or wires. A single fire coil typically has one terminal for the ignition signal, while a dual fire coil will have two terminals, allowing it to fire two cylinders simultaneously. Additionally, you can consult the vehicle's service manual or specifications, which often clarify the type of ignition system used.
