possibly the wire from the coil to the cap, or a cracked distrib. cap, or a worn rotor, have you checked your ignition module?
yes, had the same problem with my Chevy pickup
The transmission for the 1996 Chevy 3500 could be jumping from overdrive for several reasons. The transmission could have a vacuum or electrical problem causing it to come out of overdrive. Or, there could be an internal valve problem causing this to happen.
An ignition module problem could be the cause of your 89 Geo Spectrum not starting and not getting any fire. It could also be the pickup coil causing the problem.
Since the starter is good but will not turn the engine over when hot, check the engine for free rotation. Turn the engine over by moving the crank by hand (with the ignition off.) The engine could be sticking when hot and not be able to turn over.
I had a similar problem turns out the Alternator was bad.
yes, had the same problem with my Chevy pickup

The ashtray light on a Chevy pickup has a replaceable bulb. depending on the model the bulb could be a plug in or screw in type.
Could be a bad ignition switch....
Bad alternator
No. The engine has to be modified first.
Could be a blown fuse.
Yes it will fit and set right in place with NO problem. The problem is that the 95 engine is not compatible with the wiring harness, The PCM / Powertrain Control Module/computer on the 1997 model truck. The fuel pump would have to be change too. I could probley name some more things too. You need a VORTEC engine from 1997 to 1999 so you don't have to change are MODIFY anything.
There is a recall that was sent out about this exact problem, check with your Chevy dealerAnswerYou will need to replace the control board on wiper motor assembly.
