89 Chevy pickup with a 5.0 liter. truck will not start. plugs have no fire to them but the coil is producing fire. what could be the problem?

possibly the wire from the coil to the cap, or a cracked distrib. cap, or a worn rotor, have you checked your ignition module?

The problem is that the 95 engine is not compatible with the wiring harness, The PCM / Powertrain Control Module/computer on the 1997 model truck. The fuel pump would have to be change too. I could probley name some more things too. You need a VORTEC engine from 1997 to 1999 so you don't have to change are MODIFY anything.
