An ignition module problem could be the cause of your 89 Geo Spectrum not starting and not getting any fire. It could also be the pickup coil causing the problem.
try replacing the spark plugs
check ur distibutor cap and rotor bug pull a spark plug see if its getting fire then make sure ur getting fuel to the carb
crank sensor is bad
Have you tried spraying gas intothe breather. Does it have tbi or multi-port? How about the fuel regulator. How much pressure does the fuel rail have ?
First check for fire at any of the sparkplugs and if you have spark then check your fuel pressure and if its not within specs then replace the pump.
Is it getting fuel? Does it have compression?
It's overheated, probably. unless you have matches in there
because its on fire
Two main reasons a car wont start are gas and fire. Is it getting gas to the tbi (carb). Are the plugs getting fire(spark). Track these two down and you will find your problem.
try replacing the spark plugs
Check your crank shaft sensor
Okay, crank it. No start...are you getting fuel? If so, check for spark. If you are getting spark and fuel, check to see if your timing is correct. After that, I'm really not sure...if you are getting gas and spark, then the thing should fire up.
Ignition problem probably, Check wires, coil & cap to start
Does it have fuel/ compression?
appears no fire going to spark plugs
injectors not pulsing, on the right side of the center consol or the left there is a relay it is gold in color check and replace
possibly the ceramic resistor located on the driver side of the firewall
