place system into call for cooling at stat, then head out side and grab ahold of larger of the 2 copper tubing pipes that connect indoor coil with outdoor unit. this pipe should be cold also on days where it is hot inside the smaller line will be hot so be careful. other indicators are a noticeable shift in humidity within the home even if tstat displays set temp, frost will form on line from indoor coil to outdoor unit. there maybe water on floor. baring this levels must be measured with a gage
Air Cond Refrigerant - Volume: 0.90LBS. ( 0.4KG ) - [R-134a]
I haven't been able to. I disconnected my air cond. so it wouldn't blow hot air.
No, it contains too much moisture.
Actually no technical skills needed to check the Freon level. Home central air conditioners have a Freon scale on it. One just need to read the scale and determine whether the level of Freon is sufficient.
Check to see if the ac compressor is running. If it is not, use a gauge to check the Freon levels, as low Freon is the most common cause of no cold air blowing.
My 1990 Honda civic LX took 2 pounds of refrigerant when i got it refilled from completely empty.
Check freon level first
if your are performing a flush, in addition to charging the system with refrigerant, then your looking about $200 give or take a handful. call your mechanic, and if your don't have one, then call around to your local shops and see who has the best deal!nIf it has Freon R12 switch it over to R134 as it is much cheaper than Freon.
i don't know much about Mercedes but i would probably check the freon in your air system.
The first thing that you will need to do is have the a/c freon pressures check and if they are okay then check the pressure switches..............
First check to see if there is freon in the system and if yes then check the pressure switch and pigtail........
