You can pick up a cheap, plastic mic gauge at Harbor Freight or some auto parts stores. Just measure the journal with it.
A 3800 engine is 3800 no mater what is mounted in. But a 2007 Pontiac G6 does not have a 3800 it has a 3500 (3.5L) V6.
either 3400 or 3800 No Impala SS was produced in 2001.
It is listed in the parts manual, Repair manual and Machinist's manual
Yes, as long as it is a 3800 Series II V6. Not a Series I. A Series II will say Series II on the engine cover. If it is a Series one it would fit because it is the same size, but I do not know if it will work with the Grand Prix's ECU and transaxle.
it is very probabably a 3800 efi v6. also known as a 3.8 liter fuel injected v6. awesome engine
The car body has two "3800" badges on the front quarter panels if you have the 3800 engine. 3100 models have no badges. The badges indicate the engine size which matches the transmission paired with it.
Need to know what year and size the engine is that you are working on.
Need to know the engine size.
Need to know what the voltage of the motor is.
what size motor
I have not worked on this particular electric motor, but I have replaced bearings on a furnace fan motor. The furnace motor had bronze sleeve type bearings. A replacement was found at a local hardware store that had a large selection of fasteners, etc in sliding trays. The standard size sleeve bearing that was available matched the ID and OD of the motor bearing, but was longer, so I had to cut it to match the length. Then carefully press out the old bearing and press in the new one, and lubricate with sae 20 machine oil periodically.
The motor site is a 5.7 litre 305 8 cylender engine.
