driving shaft, propeller shaft, Cardan shaft
to make the head not loose put a wine cork in the shaft and screw through that to keep ypur head in place
if the shaft is loose in the distributor, you either need to rebuild or replace distributor.if distributor itself is loose there is a bolt at the base of the distributor that holds it in place
no it will slow it down
How do I know if a shaft is bad on a Ford
The total slip on the cardan shaft is the difference in rotational speed between the driving and driven ends of the shaft, usually expressed as a percentage of the driving speed. This slip is necessary for the shaft to accommodate the misalignment between the driving and driven components it connects. It is important to keep the slip within acceptable limits to prevent excessive wear and vibration in the system.
yes. put the bolts in. Are you trying to sabatoge someones car?
its loose tighten the pulley
Universal Joints (U-Joints) can wear out.
If you meant "Why is there a vibration, or vibration like sound when I'm driving" it is because either the drive-shaft is dented or one of the balancing weights is removed. Or basically it is not balanced, therefore vibration occurs.
use impact gun
A keyed shaft or Keyway is method, based on a machined keyway in shaft, to attach something to the shaft and associated bore. A fitted key is inserted into a slot that is machined into the shaft. Although a machined keyway does result in a weaker shaft, it has it's applications. As in a lawn mower engine shaft. Theoretically the key will give way and save the shaft if you hit something with the blade. The negatives of a keyed shaft are that it can be deformed over time and result is a loose drive.
