The timing belt cover should be right behind the water pump .. So remove the water pump then remove the timing belt cover then remove the timing belt then do all them steps backwards

I am in a bind, I need to remove lower timing belt cover of 2005 Honda Pilot, there is a bolt (10mm) at the end of timing cover (1 o'clock) right under front camshaft pulley, there is only one serpentine belt for for the engine, the serpentine belt is removed, by pushing the belt adjuster, now that belt adjuster is right in front of the 10 mm bolt that holds lower timing belt cover, do I need to remove that in order to remove cover and bolt? I have tried but its not coming off?
