Unhook the battery. Pull the glove box door off. You'll see the ECM behind it. Unplug the 3 sets of plugs going to the ECM. There should be 4 nuts holding the ECM to a plastic bracket....one in each corner. Using a 10mm wrench loosen these and pull out the ECM. You will need to re-use your PROM chip.....A new ECM doesn't come with one. You will see a small cover on it held on with two small screws....7mm if I remember correctly. Remove the screws, lift off the cover and you'll see the PROM. At each end of the PROM are "clips" that hold it in. Push the tops of the clips "away" from the PROM....it will lift up as you do so. Install it in the new ECM and reverse the removal process.
